Martin Engineering, a global leader in bulk material handling solutions, has a heart for philanthropy and lightening the load for those in their community around the world. In 2017, Susie Orlandi, Business Development & Marketing Specialist for Martin Engineering’s Vibration Division, contacted MCS about their upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. The company wanted to promote their newly released Cougar® Cares program to benefit Susan G. Komen.

“Everyone knows someone who’s been affected by this disease,” observed Mark Huhn, Director of the Vibration Products Business group at Martin Engineering.

“We wanted to contribute to the incredible efforts the foundation has made toward controlling — and eventually curing — breast cancer.”

Martin Engineering wanted a variety of products to promote the Cougar® Cares program. The campaign was offering a Special Edition Pink Cougar® DC Truck Vibrator in the month of October. For each unit sold, Martin Engineering would donate $50 to Susan G. Komen.

Mike and the entire staff at MCS were very quick to respond to our needs for our campaign. I provided my thoughts on the campaign and MCS delivered several proofs and advertising options to choose from. Mike also did a great job of keeping us on track, so we were able to stay on schedule.

We’ve had a great response to the program and the feedback has been very positive. It’s been really great to connect with our customers on a whole new level. I’ve heard many stories about family members who have won this fight, but also a few who didn’t. There’s still a lot of work to be done to educate and raise awareness about the importance of early detection. I anticipate that we will offer the program again next year.

The campaign included a print ad, a postcard design, an email campaign, and several giveaways, such as coasters and air fresheners. MCS worked closely with Orlandi on the various marketing products, along with the addition of a ribbon sticker to place on the Special Edition Pink Cougar® DC Truck Vibrator and a thank you card to send with the product.

Please help us welcome Austin Bowden to the MCS Family!

Austin is currently attending Devry University pursuing his Bachelors in Multimedia Design with a specialization in web design. His role at MCS, as the Digital Print Manager, is to assist with printing, editing, and design work.

When he isn’t rocking his role at MCS, Austin likes to hang out with his friends. In the summer, you can find him playing in basketball and softball leagues. We are excited to have him a part of the team!

Woodhaven Lakes Association is a private camping resort in North Central Illinois with 4,000+ members. Since summer is the busiest season, employees always have summer on their mind.
