Brand marketing is important to nearly every business. Whether your selling shoestrings or hi-tech machinery, branding is an integral part of every successful business. A company’s brand represents their market identity—who they are, what they do, what kind of quality they provide, their reputation for trustworthiness, and more.
MCS works with its clients to create and maintain their individual branding needs.
This could include creating an entirely new brand identity, maintaining an existing identity, or updating and evolving past and present marketing pieces to reflect their current marketing needs.
It is very important for a brand identity to be established and maintained – even to the slightest detail. Consumers, whether aware of it or not, usually notice if a color has changed or a different layout or font has been used. A logo change or use of new imagery could confuse a consumer if they have become used to a certain look and become familiar with a product or service.
Sometimes clients have found it necessary to completely re-evaluate their logo/brand identity because it may look old, is no longer relevant, or they feel a change could put new life into their business.
MCS has been very successful with creating and maintaining its clients’ individual identities. Some of our most prominent clients include:
Brand marketing influences the decisions of a variety of customers, including both end consumers and businesses.
It is most effective for developing repeat business, as any customer’s perception of a brand is going to be largely informed by their previous experience(s) with that brand. The company’s brand represents instant knowledge of that company. A few widely-known examples:
Over the years, a few of our clients have asked that we make slight changes to their brand identity.
Certain colors could be viewed as out of date, so just a simple change to current popular colors could be all that is necessary. Not all fonts are created equal. Some stand the test of time and rarely need to change; however, sometimes trendy new fonts are used. These may seem great at the time, but after a while they may begin to date the business in a negative way. Consumers may view this as the brand not changing and evolving, so they may lose interest and move on to another business that seems more up-to-date. Because design trends and styles are always evolving and changing, updates are necessary to remain current. For instance, in the 70’s, the use of browns, oranges and yellows together with large loopy shapes may have worked then, but today may seem old and tired. It is MCS’s job to take notice of these changes and to keep its clients abreast of the most up-to-date marketing trends.
